Not only are they champions on the court (ABA Gulf Coast Division Champions), the TORNADOS are role model champions off the court in their community outreach efforts through visits to schools, Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, medical facilities and charity events.
The Mobile Bay Tornados will be sponsoring designated games for different organizations, youth athletic teams, schools, non-profits, etc. To request our involvement, player or coaches appearance, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (251) 861-1675 . Unfortunately, all requests for appearances cannot be fulfilled. You will receive a response via e-mail whether or not your requests can be honored within a week.
The Mobile Bay Tornados would like to meet the needs of the community and do what we can to build tomorrow’s Mobile today. If you would like us to come out to speak at your school, business, organization or participate at an event, please email email@example.com or call (251)861-1675.
In response to team owner Charlie McCants’ request that each Tornados player becomes actively involved in the community, the team has responded with 100% participation. Alfred Perkins, the team coach, commented, “The Tornados have responded to Mr. McCants request in such a way that the Tornados community should be proud.”
During their first season (2013-14), second season (2014-15), third season (2015-2016), the Tornados players made over 20 personal appearances in the community each year. Their message stresses staying in school, working hard for what you get, and the ABA national message of NO BULLYING.
To enhance their positive message to offset violence in the community, the Tornados are giving Local Artist the opportunity to share a positive message through their music. The artist will have the opportunity to perform during halftime and after game concerts.
Our mission is not just about basketball, it’s about changing lives on and off the court.
